About the builders

Since we are also collectively caring for our two elderly Moms (combined age 178 and rising), finishing a Ph.D. dissertation in education (completed in 2012), sailing our 1955 folkboat (Penna), maintaining our somewhat ramshackle island home and developing our gardens, we wisely decided to engage someone to assist us with this building project.

Trevor Henderson is working with us. He works an average of ten hours per week on the project, year round. Trevor was an instructor at the Silva Bay Shipyard School for ten years or so, where he taught people to build traditional wooden boats and do traditional ship's cabinetry.
